Fear of Annihilation

I laid down my big guns, untethered the stays

Retired artillery, ordered blasts of my waves

Fire and movement, the clearance of walls

Surrendered grenades, decoding your calls

Abandoned sound tactics, a dangerous lull

Uncocked my shooters, the sharpest of all

Demanded the mind plows, defenses enthralled

Closed open season, detonated resolve

Of faithful grenades, secret landmines a cull

You watched from your tower, this push and that pull

Confirmed my construction, unheard and unseen

Certain destruction, annihilation of me

A gentle eruption, extinction at play

This mutual seduction has blown me away
